Tables to 'Dine' For

We brought some beautifully finnished tables back to Strand. Some of the work that has been put into these items makes us wonder as to how long it must have taken.
The details, and the intricacies are absolutely mind-blowing!

A Picture tells a 1000 word Story

We found some beautiful old postcards and photographs, as well as some exquisite paintings that just took our breaths away.

Truth be told, we hoped to discover a lost Monet, or da Vinci, and have our names plastered across the headlines for making the discovery...
We did find some wonderful original paintings, but alas, they were done by an unknown artist.

Who knows, we may be in possession of a painting that will one day be world famous!

Linen Linen Linen

The real deal behind all the fancy costumes we have seen in plays and movies, looks much more subdued in real life.

Here we found some beautiful pieces of material, and some authentic BLOOMERS... Yes, we laughed too!

Although we were hoping to find more evidence to the images we had in our minds of what the Past was like in France, we were still excited about what we to bring home with us.

Light up

A real treat is having a chandelier.
An even bigger treat is having one authenticed to come from a time when there were social Season's, and the young debutantes had to be on their best behaviours to impress the Ton...

The Grand’Mere’s all knew each other, and there was never a dull night in any ballroom, for when the gossip flew from group to group there wasn't a hope to hide from the wagging tongues, you couldn't run away fast enough.

This all happened underneath a chandelier.
They shed light in the darkness, and they know ALL the secrets from the past.

Sideboards, Cabinets & Cupboards.

They're all the same, really... right?
No, not really. They might be similar, but each piece of beautifully carved woodwork was created separately and intricately.

Find the difference, see for yourself; we have many options available! And each piece is special, and was chosed specifically.

Books & Music - Life's little Gifts

There's no smell in the whole world quite like that of an old book... Well, we bet that these books take the cake in the age department!

Sometimes it's more than the words written that tell the story, and sometimes its more than the notes of the song that make the song what it is...
