Our latest snowy trip to France

A shop we visited and the owner had left everything in the snow......and it was still snowing.   It looked like he just unloaded all from his truck and left everything outside!

Antique Fair at Simondium Country Lodge

Last weekend's Vintage Fair at the Simondium Country Lodge was a great success. Our stand did really well and we loved seeing every one else's stands and the beautiful unique style of each stand.

Here are a few photos from our stand as well as a few extras from other stands that we found interesting and thought you would too. Enjoy!

Our stand
An interesting collection of items that have been used as décor on walls. An old doll inside a suitcase (bottom left) makes for an interesting unique attention grabber in a play room or child's bedroom, or even in your lounge.
 These are our imported chandeliers.
These books are kept in glass containers to keep them from getting dusty. Check our our next blog coming soon about how to look after antiques and antique furniture.

This is an adorable sewing box imported is from Belgium.

This rocking horse was imported from Belgium. It was once a horse on a carousel.
This is our table layout at the fair. All our cutlery and crockery is imported from Belgium and France  Check out our blog post coming soon about how we import our items and antiques and which countries we source them from.
Imported antique tea set from the early 1900's.

These cushions are made out of post office sacks that post was delivered in.

This is an old doctor's bag from the early 1900's.

The tea set on the top is from 1900 and the canisters on the bottom are from 1920. How beautiful!
  • The following are photos from other stands that we found delightful!
These cake tins are used as storage. Too sweet. What great colours.

These goblets are placed in new pot plants for a unique style. This is a great indoor/outdoor piece that would look great in contemporary homes as well as older styled ones.
We absolutely adore these! A hanging vase with the most precious pastel pink roses. Masculine mixed with just the right amount of feminine. Love it. So unique.
This dining set reminded us of our grandparents' days where we would sit around the table in the late afternoon, drinking tea on the farm. Splendid.

How magnificent is this vase! One metre high, this mosaic was a great attention grabber at the entrance of the fair. WOW!
